Every day, your child would need to bring the following in a clearly labelled bag (but not a plastic shopping bag due to its risks to children):
- At least two complete changes of clothes, including socks, underwear, pants/shorts/dress, t-shirt/skivvy, jumpers, singlets, and shoes
- A minimum of six pairs of underpants, pants, socks, and another pair of shoes if your child is toilet training
- A dummy, bottle, formula (if required), and a comfort toy or rug (if required)
In winter:
In summer:
- Sun hat
- Clothing that covers shoulders
- Sunglasses
Please note that all your child’s personal items should be clearly labelled with their name.
Also, please ensure that your child is dressed in clothes and shoes that allow them to freely participate in all activities.
Your child will be participating in many messy activities, and whilst smocks and other protective gear are provided, they will most likely still get some paint and dirt on their clothes. This means it’s not a good idea to have them wear their best or going-out clothes to the centre.
If your child is toilet training, please be sure to dress them in pants that are easy to remove, such as tracksuit pants or pants with no zips or buttons.
It is also very important to consider which shoes to have your child wear. Those that cover their toes and are fitted to their feet are acceptable. Thongs and slip on shoes are not allowed.
If you have questions about the clothing requirements, please see the staff in your child’s room or talk to the centre manager.
